About the event
The Women's Alliance of First Parish Unitarian Universalist of Arlington hosts an annual Sunday service to celebrate their mission of supporting "women in our congregation, and through that support to advance the interests and efforts of our entire church." Dr. Alexandria Russell and composer Brittney E. Boykin are featured guests of the program that will highlight the intentional collaboration that the Women's Alliance makes in the Greater Boston community. Dr. Russell will discuss aspects of her book, Black Women Legacies: Public History Sites Seen & Unseen, in her presentation "Commemorating Community: Reflecting Our Values Through Memorials." A book signing will follow the 10:00 AM service.
